~ Early Childhood Special Education

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) is a program designed to address the developmental learning needs of children ages 3-5. Certificated staff work closely with families and community resources to enhance the communication, learning, physical, social/emotional development of young children. Individualized education plans are developed for eligible children with services provided at no cost to parents.

Evaluations may be requested for any area in which a delay or disability is suspected:

· Vision

· Hearing

· Physical Development

· Cognition

· Concept Development

· Communication

· Adaptive Behavior

· Social-Emotional-Behavioral Development

 

~ Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers

Children are born to learn and Parents as Teachers can assist parents in being the best first teachers for their children. If you are expecting or have a child under the age of 5, this is an exciting program for your family. Parents as Teachers is a free program designed to give parents an understanding of how young children grow and learn. The parent educator will share developmental information, activity ideas, and developmental screenings during home visits. Group meetings and special events are also held throughout the year. Services provided include:

Our Mission Statement

In this preschool we promise to work together, play together, and learn together.

The Blue Eye RV School District's Early Childhood Program offers mulitple services and screenings to ensure your child has access to the programs that benefit him or her most.  The Emerging Language & Literacy Curriculum implemented in our preschool is scientifically based and provides a strong foundation in oral language and literacy.  All developmental domains are represented within the thematic units and offer an engaging environment of activities and play-based learning opportunities.

Hours of Operation:

AM Session 8:00AM-11:30AM (M-F)

PM Session 11:30AM-3:00PM (M-F)

*Children may be enrolled in only one session per school year.  

Age-Range:

Children ages 3-5 (pre-kindergarten age) are eligible for enrollment.

Fees:

The Blue Eye RV School District provides preschool services free of charge to children living within school district boundaries.  

*Children must be picked up on time or additional staffing charges will incur.

Please complete the enrollment packet, provide the necessary documents, and submit to the K-8 office to be considered for placement in our preschool.  Limited spaces are available.
